ABOUT THE DRURY GROUP

Fundraising Should Be Personal. Strategic. And Results-Driven.

At The Drury Group, we believe successful fundraising is about more than asking for money.

It's about relationships.

It's about understanding people, recognizing opportunities, communicating value, making confident asks, and creating experiences that inspire people to become more deeply invested in a mission.

And while relationships should always remain at the heart of fundraising, we also believe nonprofit organizations deserve a strategy that produces measurable results.

That's where The Drury Group comes in.

MEET KAITLYN DRURY

Founder & Principal, The Drury Group

For more than a decade, I've had the opportunity to work inside nonprofit fundraising environments, engaging supporters, working fundraising events, developing relationships, generating revenue, securing partnerships, and seeing firsthand what makes people say yes.

My experience began on the front lines. I learned how to walk into a room full of people I had never met, start genuine conversations, understand what motivated them, create excitement around a cause, confidently make an ask, overcome hesitation, and turn conversations into revenue.

Over the years, that experience grew far beyond event-night fundraising. I've worked alongside nonprofit leaders, volunteers, sponsors, corporate partners, donors, and fundraising teams. I've been involved in sponsorship development, donor cultivation, corporate outreach, fundraising strategy, major events, raffles, auctions, partnership development, and the countless conversations that happen behind the scenes before a contribution is ever made.

And throughout those experiences, I began noticing something.

There is often far more fundraising potential inside an organization than leadership realizes.

WHY I FOUNDED THE DRURY GROUP

I've watched organizations work incredibly hard to put hundreds of supporters in a room, only to leave a significant portion of the fundraising opportunity untouched.

I've seen passionate volunteers stand behind tables waiting for someone to approach them because no one ever taught them how to confidently start the conversation.

I've seen sponsorship packages remain unchanged year after year.

I've seen incredible corporate relationships that were never fully developed.

I've seen event attendees enthusiastically support a mission one night and never hear from the organization again.

I've seen board members with extraordinary networks who simply needed direction on how to open the right doors.

And I've seen organizations assume they needed more donors when, in reality, there was tremendous opportunity within the relationships they already had.

Those experiences shaped the philosophy behind The Drury Group.

I created this company to help mission-driven organizations look at fundraising differently—to identify overlooked opportunities, strengthen the relationships that drive giving, build more intentional fundraising systems, and ultimately generate more revenue for the missions they serve.

EXPERIENCE FROM THE FUNDRAISING FLOOR TO THE DEVELOPMENT OFFICE

My perspective has been shaped by hands-on experience across multiple areas of fundraising and development, including:

Donor Engagement & Relationship Development

Building genuine relationships with supporters and creating intentional pathways toward deeper involvement.

Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships

Identifying prospects, developing relationships, creating compelling partnership opportunities, and making confident asks.

Fundraising Event Revenue

Looking beyond attendance to maximize sponsorships, raffles, auctions, guest participation, direct giving, and overall revenue per attendee.

Fundraising Sales

Understanding how positioning, pricing, conversation, confidence, timing, upselling, objection handling, and closing directly affect revenue.

Development Strategy

Creating structure around prospects, relationships, priorities, asks, follow-up, stewardship, and long-term fundraising growth.

Board & Volunteer Engagement

Helping the people closest to the mission understand how they can become more effective participants in fundraising.

Mission-Driven Relationship Building

Connecting the organization's purpose to the people and companies capable of helping move that mission forward.

Mission-driven organizations should have the strategy and confidence to maximize every fundraising opportunity in front of them.
